A Christmas Message from our Chief Executive Stephen Hammersley

Thank you for your interest in and support for our work and it is the case that we couldn’t do it without you – people who pray for and give to support what we do.

As you read about our work on this website, I trust that you will be encouraged by people who give of their very best to others and who through their stories and example are, in the words of the carol we chose to sing for our video, ‘Joy to the World’.

The true and eternal joy to the world that we celebrate this and every Christmas is, of course, the story of how God gave of His more than best when He entered our world as a dependent baby in the person of His Son Jesus Christ. It’s that reality, that light in darkness, that Saviour, that guarantor of Heaven who brought joy to people even amongst the dangers and persecutions of first century Palestine and is still joy for us in the uncertainty and worries of our current times.

Most of the people who live with us know the joy that Jesus alone brings, and our prayer is that this Christmas God would restore in all of us the joy of our salvation and bring to faith those who don’t know Him. Please join us in this prayer.
