A tribute to a dear friend and colleague – Lynn Hall

Lynn left us on Sunday 1st September and moved on, into the glorious presence of her Heavenly Father. While we mourn the loss of a dear friend and colleague, we rejoice in the knowledge that she is now with her Saviour. Lynn had worked at Pilgrims' Friend Society for 14 years. If you had ever met her, you would not have forgotten her.

Lynn will be remembered for many things, her love of life and of her Saviour. For her infectious laugh, her unwavering optimism, her visionary leadership and her passion for those living with dementia. The passion that Lynn had in this field was recognised by the organisation and as a result she became the Dementia Lead for Pilgrims' Friend Society. Lynn worked tirelessly with our homes, our family members and our staff and developed a bespoke Christian approach to care which underpins all that we do, we call it The Way We Care.

The Way We Care is our bespoke Christian approach to caring for older people in communities where they can flourish in their later years. She trained our staff, their families, and our volunteers to see the whole person.

In her personal life she loved gardening, her dogs and cats, nature, colour and interior design. She became the interior designer for the organisation and if you have ever visited one of our homes you will have seen the amazing talent she had. Combining her skill in interior design and dementia she was able to make our homes look attractive, suitable for those living with and without dementia and most importantly homely.
