Brand new home to be built in Chippenham
Pilgrims’ Friend Society is pleased to introduce Middlefields House, a state-of-the-art residential home in Chippenham.
The home will become home to 48 residents living in four households of 12. With comfortable accommodation in generously-sized rooms, residents will enjoy good company and great care. Each room will have en-suite facilities and each household offers a choice of living rooms which will provide the perfect place to take part in activities and host family and friends.
Each of the four households, is similar in scale to a large family home and each with an open-plan lounge and dining area with a kitchenette, a separate second lounge area and access to the gardens. The households will allow the residents to get to know one another and build friendships, as well as offering separate, quieter spaces for residents to pursue their own interests.
The purpose-built home will also have a café which will be open to visitors, a hair salon and communal rooms for larger group activities. The thoughtfully designed gardens will offer walking routes for exercise and plenty of place to sit quietly or to spend time with others.
Pilgrims' Friend Society has been serving older Christians in Chippenham for more than 40 years through our Leonora Home. The home will continue to care for residents until the new home in ready in spring 2021.
At Pilgrims’ Friend Society we believe that care is not just about looking after physical needs, but also supporting and encouraging Christian faith in our residents. At Middlefields House, just as with all our homes and housing schemes, residents will have opportunities for individual pastoral support and prayer, as well as regular worship services and we have a network of local churches who offer support and pastoral care to our residents.
Further information on the home and how you can support the project through prayer and giving will be available soon.
